Boogie on the Boulevard

I don't often post things relating to my job, but I am incredibly proud of the work we put into this and how amazing the photos came out. There is no greater feeling in the world then seeing something you once only imagined come to life and enjoyed by the very people it was designed for. I don't need any more validation then seeing first hand the joy people had interacting with it and I hope these photos capture that.

The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene hired Interboro to design a space using ad-bloc at Boogie on the Boulevard for ThriveNYC to help bring awareness and destigmatize mental illness.
ad-blocs are plastic building blocks that are durable, easy to install, easy to maintain, and linkable. ad-blocs can be arranged in a variety of configurations: they can be placed side by side, perpendicularly, or be stacked, to create a wide range of seating areas. A stool, which doubles as a cooler, works as an interlocking peg to hold the blocs together. Cylindrical voids in the blocks can be used to play a variety of games. - Interboro
