Highline

Ebenezer and I spent Saturday afternoon walking the Highline before watching the fight. We missed the first train and had to wait about an hour near the tracks. Once we got to New York, we walked from the 33rd Street Path station to the top of the Highline at 30th and 10th. On our way down, we ate grandma pizza (mozzarella and sauce on garlic bread crust) at Highline Pizza in Chelsea.
We got some great sunset views along the way and what I liked the most was getting to the end and photographing the people on the street below. On our way to the Christopher Street Path station, we walked by the block party going on for the opening of the new Whitney Museum. We walked around to front of the building so I could get a good look at it. It s an oddly composed building, but I'll admit, in the right light it looks pretty great and is in a weird way a subtle addition to the area.
Then we got to the train in Hoboken an hour early but the bar in the station was having happy hour with $4 Yuengling, $8 beer and wings, the music was sweet, and the bartender was really nice, so it was all good.
