Iceland: Day 8

Day 8 Itinerary:
- Blue Lagoon
- Harpa
- Hallgrimskirkja
- Reykjavik
Day 8 was our last full day in Iceland and our most low key. We didn't have anything planned out, but we definitely wanted to check out the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik before we left.
A few nights before I got us some tickets online for the Blue Lagoon. We got there a little early so we walked around and took some photos. Once you are in, you have to go into a locker room to change and shower before you can enter the lagoon. It was a little chaotic in the locker room area, I'll admit it wasn't relaxing at all but extremely stressful. Thats not to say the facility wasn't nice, but the crowd was a little overwhelming. The lagoon itself was awesome. It was warm and we had on our silica masks and free smoothies so I think we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves once we got in the water.
After the lagoon, we went into Reykjavik. Our first stop was Harpa concert hall (being an architect, I had to check out what Iceland had to offer in terms of contemporary architecture). We left the car near Harpa and walked to Hallgrimskirkja, which is the largest church in Iceland. Afterwards, we just walked around looking for souvenirs and food. They had a bunch of quirky shops and restaurants (we found a Chuck Norris Bar and a Big Lebowski Bar).
We spent the night at the Airport Inn, which is a nice self check-in hotel near KEF because our flight was very early the next morning.
