Governor's Ball 2015

Went to Governor's Ball on Friday, June 5th. Went smoothly this time, didn't get a headache.

The music was great. Got to see Future (who filled in for Twin Shadow, which I was bummed I didn't get to see but shit happens), Chromeo (AMAZING), Florence + the Machine, and Drake.

A majority of the crowd was horrible, bratty, and entitled (apart from the few nice people I met). The food we ate was horrible, but I'm sure the other stalls with the huge lines were serving some good stuff. Maybe if we had more patience for long lines we could've gotten better food. I was so bummed that the architectural ice cream truck I saw on the food line-up wasn't there that day, I would've loved to try some.

Apart from bad crowd, the festival was great overall. The grounds weren't as beautiful as Mysteryland but there were some cool pieces like the balloon rainbows and graffiti pillars. There were a ton of bathrooms and food vendors, although what gets me about these things is the lack of beer selections. But I guess that has to do with sponsorships.

All of these photos were taken with a Fuji Film 400 disposable camera. We aren't allowed to take cameras with removable lenses, although I did see some people with DSLRs and the security was so lax, I'm sure I could've taken my Sony A7R in. But, I do love the look of disposable camera photos. They are very crisp and the colors are fantastic.

Next festival: Mad Decent Block Party!
